When sudden changes occur in the weather for example extreme heat and rain
(humid weather) Buffalo and other varieties may go to seed. This also may be
an indication of the soil lacking nutrients if seed heads constantly appear.
Fertilising is a good idea in this instance, if seed heads continue to
appear you can use the Sir Walter Fertiliser or another similar product from
your local nursery or Bunnings store. Seed heads can be mown and will not
reproduce, all warm season grasses are grown from runners and do not come in
a seed form.
